Work begins on new project!
We've started work on our new project - a version of the Aeneid with the working title Crossing the Sea. This has been made possible by support from the Center for Hellenic Studies in Washington DC, the Archive of Performances of Greek and Roman Drama, and The Oxford Playhouse.
We've had an amazing first week of R&D, culminating in a sharing that yielded lots of interesting ideas. We'll be taking the next steps in the Spring, with first full performances planned for late 2019. It's an even bigger and bolder show than usual, and we can't wait to share it with you all!
Our Macbeth had a great tour earlier in the year – playing in 12 venues across the UK and also marking our US debut at the fantastic Off the Map Festival in Utah.
Special thanks to the Playground Theatre in west London where we rehearsed and opened the show prior to our trip to the States.
Future plans for Macbeth include a US tour in October 2019 – we’re currently confirming dates with venues but if you’re interested in booking us then do get in touch.
Crossing the Sea has had its second phase of R&D and now Paul will be working on the script until the end of the year. Plans are afoot for its premiere in September 2019. Watch this space!
We are also currently booking for Unmythable in February and March 2019, so fingers crossed we will be coming to a theatre near you very soon...
